I have the choice of a SAR-1 for $399 or a WASR 10 for $357. Both are NIB and price is out the door. Was going to wait until after 14 Sept but I don’t see prices falling much. Not sure which way to go, my research doesn’t show much difference between the two. Wood finish on the WASR is nicer. Thanks in advance for any help.

Sar is worth the extra bucks. Wood is easy to refinish.

The Sar is designed for all normal ak mags. The wasr needed extra work to get to that point.

What he said ... pick the rifle that has the straighter sight/base and smoother cycling action.
