Looks like a butthole stock that someone cut up, sanded, etc.
From the pic, it actually looks like a pretty decent job. Hows it look IRL? Can you see the cut marks or did they do a good job? |

actualyl yeah, its a decent job. you can see the sand off a little rougher then the rest of it, and the cut at teh back of the receiver is clean, but not rounded off.
the funny thing is the shop said they got 4 of these with thw same stock from Romania. It was stll covered in cosmolene and all. |

probably too much, but i didn't pay for it, so hey!
altho, apperently, he got 4 of them and they all sold in 3 days. |

the color is nice.. the only thing that doesn't look good is that buttstock.

these are the variant that lew horton is importing ( www.lewhorton.com/index.html ).
frankly...it's firewood...a modified cur series buttstock. my advice is to lose it fast and add a conventional military buttstock to the rifle. |

I don't care for the looks of these particular re-works but I'm sure it shoulders well and I seriously doubt what it looks like matters much when you're throwing 30, 40 or 75 rounds of lead downrange.
Obviously though, the rifle has the nec. US parts to be in compliance with 922r. If you're happy with it that's cool. At least you don't have to worry about parts count should you decide to go with another stock set. (keep the US made pistol grip though) Congrats on your first AK! More will follow... |
