HI guys and gals,
I have a Norinco paratrooper model (takes ak mags) and a Russian standard length rifle.  I was interested in getting the tapco t6 stock for the Norinco and of course changing out the gas piston and operating rod, however, the gas piston on the Norinco is shorter than that on the Russian rifle.  I've checked several websites and nobody offers two different sizes of gas pistons. WTF?  Does anyone know where I can get a US made gas piston that will fit my Norinco?

I don't know where you can get one, but mine is the same way.  SKS-M has a shorter piston than the standard ones.

Why do you want to change out the gas piston.  Is it damaged or something?

he's talking about the parts count, the tapco kit includes all US made parts for compliance. go ahead and order the parts, if the piston is longer then just cut it down to match your chinese paratrooper piston. simple fix!
