Gents,

I am unaware of an explanation as to why the Chinese Mags (30 rnd anyway) do not have a rib and the former Soviet Bloc states' mags do.  Any ideas?  I assume the rib has something to do with strengthing the mag.  (We all know the danger of ASSuming,)

Which mags are preferable, Chinese or Soviet Bloc and why?

Thanks for the input.

ive never heard anyone say that either one is better...hell as long as it aint made here, i'm sure it will work. i do believe the rib you are referring to (on the backside of the mag, right?) is indeed for strengthening the magazine. but since it doubt any of us will be putting these things through a SHTF kind of a workload, any difference in strenght probably wouldnt make much of a difference.

what it all comes down to is:
which ones can ya get cheaper?
