Saw this over on gunboards, everyone in the thread was dogging it but i think its awesome. Check out the slabside up top along with a couple G3's, looks like a PPSH down on the bottom and maybe a sten to the right as well. I want that for the gun room. McM

If its between crushing them and using them as "art" I guess I would take "art" otherwise no thanks.

Thats one way to get new kits imported. Weld them up and sell them as art then dismantle in the states. Oh yeah I know they wouldn't go for that. Still seems like a waste.

Judging by the condition of the parts and the fact that there are two G3's there i'm sure its from some third world country, to them these firearms are junk, to us its treasure. In countries where u can buy a nice AK for 25 bucks you can only imagine how many there are, i've seen those photos of that junk yard full of guns, thousands of them just piled and left to rot including several mini guns, M2HB's, tons of ak's and m16's and RPG7 launchers. I dont think any westerner would have built this chair, I look at it as Art!

I will get some of my pics from the desert scanned this weekend. Everything from AKs to 1000 pound bombs just laying around. I even have a pic packed up somewhere of me sitting in an old blown up hind.

After giving the "artist" his or her due process hearing, he or she should be sentenced to a lifetime of building weapons without pay so he or she can attone for that crime!

Not the response i thought i would get. I want to give an example, I'm an ordnance collector inert rockets, grenades, landmines, claymores, RPG's you name it. Anyways there are countries especially in south east Asia that are littered with all of these items. Cambodia for instance has the most land mines anywhere, every villiage has its own EOD guy and a lot of people, kids especially have been wounded by these, missing arms, legs all kinds of crazy wounds and worst people die from them everyday. These items are common over there just like the guns in that junk yard and the chair, i've seens photos of landmines used as pots for plants, i saw a photo where they used claymore plastic cases to build a roof over a shack, its that common to them. To them these guns and these now inert bombs and such are as common as an old escort sitting in some junk yard here in the U.S. and we see alot of artists using old car parts to make lawn art. Its the same, when i look at the chair i'm impressed with it.  Heres a picture of some art, I'm sure the Aviation collector cringes at the sight of this but i think its beautiful and would be proud to use it as my office dest. Its a wing section from a B-25 bomber from WW2.  This is my opinion of course.

I saw that website once a while ago. It was based in England I believe and it had some REALLY depressing photos posted. PILES of original Thompsons rusting away with white sun bleached wood stocks. Grease guns, AK's, all kinds of beautiful wonderful glorious weapons just ROTTING away like dead, well, whatever..............

Bastards!

I could never sit in that chair.  I'd cry every time I tried.  What a waste.  Sure they might be from somplace that a brand new AK is only $50 and there might be hundreds of thousands in the country, but just send them here.  I'm sure we could find them nice good homes.

They are from Mozembique if I remember correctly. They make different things out of gun parts. Furniture, jewelry, etc.

They had a long civil war, with warlords going around killing everyone... That sometimes affects your views on weapons...

Not everything lasts forever.  I wouldn't mind have a chair like that...pretty cool.  Of course I'd rather have the weapons.

Well just think with Hillary at the helm, the Democrats taking the house and senate- there will only be more. Already look at NY, Hillary trying to ban all semi-auto and pump action weapons. You can bet  there will be a civil war.

Probably an unregistered machine chair. Is it pre-86? Transferable?

I bet Dianne Fienstein has a few of those in her home.  That's probably the only way she'll have a gun in there.
