It's just the mag body, but Centerfire also sells the floorplate, and the spring & follower. You can piece mags together for $5 if you're a DIY kinda person. You'll probably need to remove rust and repaint the mag.

Got mine today (9)

A couple bodies had finish wear and only a few spots of light rust.

The others were very rusty, and will probably clean up with only light pitting.
These had some rust on the inside also.

The only damage was that one was kinda bent out of square at the top, and one
was bent open in the front where the spot welds are.

The followers, springs, and  floorplates were all in good shape with light rust.

With a little work I will have 9 good mags.

I think you would be better off buying a 12 pack from sportsmans guide. both my 12 packs for $75 had at least 3-4 yugo bolt hold open magazine, plus you get the other 8 misc magazine too

I just ordered four for shits and giggles. I plan to strip and refinish them with permslik. I'll photo / document the process and post it in this forum.

Called this evening after work. Nothing has shipped yet, as they are waiting for the mag bodies, springs, and floor plates to come in from a storage facility.

My mags arrived today. 10 days from order placement to door, not bad considering I'm in Alaska. As for the mags....wow. Some are really just curved masses of rust, severely pitted, dented, can't even move the follower - crap. The floorplate will be the only salvgeable part of many of them.  Some are not too bad, all need alot of TLC. I was expecting the box to have 30 bodies, 30 springs and followers and 30 floorplates. I got 30 mags, already assembled, period. BUT, I will need to take them all apart to get them cleaned up and stuff. I figure I should have 15 usable mags when it's all said and done, plus soem spare parts. Still not a terrible price when averaged out... I hope.

I cant believe they sent that out to a customer. Why didnt they just throw it away? Would anyone really be happy receiving a rusted up hunk of crap like that? A little rust is fine...but that is more rust than not.

Yeah, I'm kinda ticked off they sent something of this quality out. I know you get what you pay for, but let's be reasonable. This was my first order with Centerfire. I certainly hope I got the bottoom of the barrel, simply because I don't want to see others getting stuff this bad and I don't think they will win many repeat customers if they deliver that after advertising it like this:

Mine came yesterday, all assembled as with the above poster. Out of 14 magazines, all are rusty, with the exception of two. None were dented though. Two of them have blood-rust. I can still see where blood ran and dripped all over the magazines and dried. I donned gloves and a sanding mask last night to brush all of these off, and soaked them in blue and rust remover. They cleaned up nice. I just coated them with Anti-rusting flat black spray paint. All are ready to rock.

I ordered 15 of these.  They took forever to ship, slow on emails...but I figured hey, busy time of year no biggie.  I had hoped to have 12 good mags, more than that is bonus.  They showed up just dumped in the box, none of the followers could be pushed down,  heck a couple were stuck halfway in the mag.  Stripped them all down to start cleaning,  had to punch the followers out with a dowel.  The sping/follower assembly and floorplates were all pretty decent, the bodies were all bad.  I thought  a little cleanup and dent pulling will take care of it.  To date, I have fixed only fours by dent pulling and scouring the rust off.  One is too far dented for me.  The other ten are so badly coroded under the reinforcement plates that they have bulged in, stopping the follwer from completing its travel and jamming it in place.  A couple of those actually bulge out too at the plate.  All in all, I'm pretty disgusted by it; yes, you get what you pay for, but on the website it says " rusty, as-is, no returns " it doesnt not say " suckers, good luck getting these to work!! ".   I am calling them on Mon see what can be done.

My exact experience.  I couldnt figure out why the followers wouldnt clear until you posted the bit about the rust under the reinforcement plate.  It took forever to get and I have 2 of the 10 that work.

At the rate its going for me, that's what I'm dealing with. Garbage. I will definitely not be ordering from Centerfire again. They had the opportunity to earn a loyal customer, but blew it big time.

Look on the bright side. You've finally discovered what it takes to make a7.62  AK magazine malfunction.

No offense guys, but when something says "No returns" there's a reason.

Before deciding to not be a customer because you ordered rusty magazines and paid peanuts for them, try ordering something decent from them.

I ordered some of their "new" Yugo mags to go with my new Yugo AK.  When they came, after hearing horror stories about CFS, I expected dented mags with some rust, but usable.  That's not what I got, I got what for the life of me look like brand new magazines.  They look completely unissued.  Perfect bluing, no binding of followers or anything.  The other items I bought were also perfect that were advertised as new, the used stuff, well, it's definitely used, but still works fine.

It's a bad idea to order ANYTHING that says "no returns" from ANY of the warehouse outfits like CTD, SG, CFS, etc, IMO.

I planned on ordering 10 of each.  There were only 3 floorplates left, so I just got 3 of each.  I was thinking, the last 3 are going to be the worst 3.

They turned out a little rusty, and the followers were stuck at first, but I think they'll be OK.

I disagree
Advertise this to me:

Mail this to me:

And see if I buy anything from you again. There are plenty of other places I can spend my money.

EDIT TO ADD- I would hardly consider $5 each peanuts. Give me a break. No way they paid more than $.25 each. Tops. If I knew thay were this bad, I wouldn't have even paid that much.

What will really make you mad is that they charged you $5 bucks each while they only charged a friend of mine $1.99 each for the whole mag. All my friend ordered was the mag bodies to experiment on but just like the rest of you he received complete magazines. I dont think Centerfire parted out any of these (probably couldn't get them apart). Everybody who bought the springs, followers, and floorplates would have got them anyway.
