This was sold to me as Russian but I want to make sure. Ignore the receiver part, it's not from an AK.
I don't care if it's not Russian, just curious where its from.      |

I don't think its Russian... looks more Chinese.
The arms on the stock are kinda squared off, If I remember right the Russian ones are more rounded off. On that last pic, I've never seen a stock that had the "teeth" that poke into the receiver in those places. Usually they are at opposite ends of the "circle". |

It's not an AK receiver. I don't think it's Chinese, at least it doesn't look like ones I've seen in pics. |

Its Russian alright... Supposedly, that is Kalashnikov's favorite WWII SMG. |

Its possible, but Russian kits are 100x more common in the US. |

Good point. Centerfire Systems had PPS43 kits that supposedly were Polish....but considering how Russia gave away/sold most of hers away after WW2 there's a good chance the ones CFS had were Russki also. Poland did make a fixed stock version though. The Finns made a 9x19 knock-off also but nowhere near the number. |

I appreciate all the replies. I may not have made it very clear that the receiver portion should be ignored. It's a custom part made up for a completely different rifle. I am only concerned about the stock itself.
Thanks for the tip on Ppsh. I'll try to find some pics and compare it. This stock is nice and very solid. It locks up real tight. |
