Please excuse my ignorance folks. I've been out of the AK scene since a few months before the AWB dropped. Is there any way I can get this exact 74 setup in the picture? Solid side folder? Is Arsenal ever going to make one of these type 74's? Thanks.

You can do it, but not a factory job, and it will be expensive.

The side folding stock is a Russian AK-100 series buttstock. The are rare in the US, as they are all Grey-market imports.

Ted Marshall has some sets with pistol grip and handgaurds, but for $300-

The stock sets are not a DIY job either....

Thanks for the info . . . sounds like a pain in the butt. Would I have to supply a receiver and other things to this place or can I just buy a fully built 74 from them?

If you get a normal 74 kit, and a stock from the guy on gunbroker (like $150 or something) then you could have someone build it (for about $400 + US parts).

Or you could buy a slr-105, buy the stock, and have it all converted.

Either way its going to be a lot of money.

The SLR105 is the way to go I think. At least you can shoot it while you wait to find a folder set up, and find someone to install it.
