Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Bought a VEPR today!

I made a compulsive buy today at the gunstore.  I am not a 3rd world, cockroach firearm fan, but the VEPR in .308 looked exotically sweet and chambered in a useful .308 Win cartridge.  Came home and found out VEPRs are accurate, and one hell of a rifle.  Paid $680 out-the-door for this VEPR with walnut furniture.  Can't wait to go to the backyard 80 acre range.

 Let us know how she shoots.  My first Kalashnikov was a Saiga 308, the Vepr was over my limit but it looked very good.
