I've not had an AK for years (sold my B-west side folder many moons ago).  But I may have a line on an AK-100 folding polymer stock set, and I'm thinking about having an AK-100 clone built.  What's the best host gun for the build?

Will these only work on stamped receivers?  or can they be modified to work on milled guns?

Thanks all,
Nimslow

well right now it would be a Saiga. But if you wait a bit arsenal is supposed to come out with the SLR-107.  The difference would be the dimples from what I understand..

I'm using an Arsenal SLR-105R. It won't give you an exact clone (but close enough for my tastes!), but it's good quality, reasonably priced and available NOW. Mine's the "ban style" - which doesn't matter since I'll be replacing the front end anyway - and I scored it for just over $400. I have the -105 gas block/FSB, muzzle device and poly sidefolder ready to be installed - just waiting on my Form 1 to come back...
