i still have the 3 harleys and the indian, but i'm also still kicking myself for selling my '92 gsxr-1100 two years ago!

i miss my gix'er and i'm thinking about getting another one...probably a 750 this time around. despite my love of 'litre bikes' and the insane horsepower of the hayabusa, i'll be content to get in a radical seating position, tuck in and smear dunlop dust on the corners!

avengeusa, stupidly, i sold the gixxer...it was a bone stock repli-racer in team livery. it would do 165-170 indicated...i can't imagine what yours would scream up to!

i really don't mind the seating position...i'm a bicyclist...a moto is a lazyboy compared to providing your own power!

i think i would go for something more nimble than the 500lb. 1100. even though i've tossed milwaukee iron around since i was 19, that gixxer just didn't quite have all the 'tossability' i like to see in my cars and in my bikes.

when i bought the gixxer, i really want the yamahopper 'cuz it handled better (in the litre bike class, that is).

so, i'm thinking of dropping it a notch to a 750. a good rider can make a 3/4 bike dance with the big boys on a nice road. i know it won't out-drag a big-bore...but wth? i'm getting old anyways! lol!

i'll find a deal on some year-old 750 some high school cheese-eater crashed out on or an old man's trade-in that he freaked himself out on and be set for 60% of the cost of the latest "gee-whiz gizzmo equipped" showroom models.

on the other hand...that honda nr looks koool...and i always wanted a desmo...wonder how them new k-bikes churn?...do you think i could keep an aprilla in one piece?...i hear the new av mangusta's are insane!...

Actually I knew a guy in college who had a large Vespa scooter, it was  licensed as a motorcycle. He got some razzing 'cause he was openly gay ifirc, but I used to talk bikes with the guy once in awhile as there was a separate motorcycle parking lot that we both used. He told me once he drove the thing about 360 miles round trip on the thruway to go home for Thanksgiving (that's some cold riding in NY). He was stopped by 3 troopers, 2 tried to give him tickets until he showed them that it really was technically a motorcycle (although I think it was lucky to top out at 60) the third just about begged him to park it and said he'd take him to a bus station, but he said no-more guts than I have.

I really do have a Kawasaki Ninja 500. It's  a teeny two cylinder 500, but it'll still pull about 118. I wish it had real sportbike suspension, but it's still a fun little tooter.

those toys have cost me a wife and and a 8 year relationship...i really miss those girls, if i could only remember their names...

the current wife is more 'understanding'. she understands i'm the way i am and i ain't ever gonna change.

777, a cbx is just like one of those v-max thingies. blindingly fast in a straight line. terrifying when pushed hard thru a corner. i rode a cbx exactly one time. i swapped back onto my harley and told the owner that my superglide was a a grand prix bike compared to his cbx! lol!

Was the '92 liquid cooled or the last year of air/oil?  I've owned '87,'93, and '94 G'XR-750s.  Last bike of that type was a '96 900RR.

Amazingly, Ken actually bought the '87 for me when I was engaged to his daughter (to whom I later became married).  At the time, it may have been an effort to "terminate" the relationship. :)

Of course, now that I think about it, he bought me about 3 guns that year as well, so I guess I "married well."

This is my new "Sport" bike, she won't do 140+mph, but she does have 4wd, a 2,500 lb winch, a transverse mounted engine, and won't get stuck!

BWHAHAHhahahaha...you are right! it is about time to open season on those Snowbirds! I have heard they don't spend much money when they are down there though. Just rent one your back bedroom!

speakin of coyotes. A guy that hunts the same prop I do (3,000 acres private land) killed a large bobcat the other morning. I am damn glad he did, I would hate to be in my duck blind when he showed up!
