Last month I went out shooting the mak-90 and tried to shoot 675 rounds as fast as I could and my handguards lit on fire around 650 rounds and I threw it in a creek and now my barrel is crooked. How much would it cost for a gunsmith to buy a barrel and put a new one on. And do you think I could have hurt anything else. everthing looks fine though.

Yeah I actually do have pictures of the handguards in flames and the 55 gal drum I shot which is just littered with holes I just have to get them developed. When I was shooting I looked down at the barrel and told my buddies it was white and there was 10 30 round mags to go. That is the most workout my fingers have ever gotten while shooting. I might wait on fixing it because I want to try and get a seak. Need to get it fixed or buy another as I have 3000 rounds 3 chinese drums and 15 30 rounders. Thanks for the info Campy. Nothing else is hurt you think.

I've tried and tried.
You beat me to it.
All I could do is boil the romanian syrup off of the hand guards.

I think the Mak had some type of varnish on it because it was smoking like hell after the 2nd drum. I might have a gunsmith try bending it back.
