There was some information posted about AK series Barrel Diameters.....but when I do a "search" I can only go back 30-days. Does anyone have this information?..or know where it can be located. I mostly need to find out if AKM and AK-74 trunions are of the same for pressing in barrels...or if they are different between 7.62x39mm trunions and 5.45x39.5mm trunions and barrel OD.

So who would have information on barrel-diameters, and if AKM and AK-74 trunions are the same sizes?

Be carefull of aa-ok's info. It is not exact. I had a post of barrel diameters but I don't know where it is any more. I will try to update it and post it again.

Most 74 trunions have a 22mm hole for the barrel, while all AKM's that I know of have a 23mm barrel hole. Rommy 74's use a 23mm barrel hole.
