I am looking for an AK.Based off what I have read in this forum the Arsenal Inc rifles seem to be highly regarded.

Can someone shed some light on the various models they offer?Basically,I just want something with a Muzzle break and OD furniture.

Any vendors/dealers you guys recomend?I have looked at the dealers on their site and was wondering if they can be had at better prices.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Looking at Fac's website I can't come to a conclusion as to which I should buy.The SLR 101 SB & SG are about what I am looking to spend. However, all the talk I see on here in about the SA M-7.

No offence, they look the same and I don't see any specs. What are the differences?

This is the SLR-101SG that takes standard AK magazines

The above posts are correct with the following exception.

Arsenal USA/Global Trades make the SLRs, which have been converted to accept hicap mags, and don't accept all makes of hicaps.

Arsenal Inc. were made to accept hicaps - simply one of the best AK variants made today.

Here's a SAM7S by Arsenal Inc.:

Okay, so the OLD SLRs were made by Arsenal USA/Global Trades.

The new SLRs are made by Arsenal Inc.

In any case, the basic difference is that the SAM series were made to accept hicaps and the SLR series have been modified to accept hicaps. Right?

So all things being equal, you're better of with a SAM than an SLR. Just like you are better off with a SAR than a WASR. Right?

Templar,Damn..I couldn't have asked for a better reply.Thanks.

dpmmm,That looks like what I am in the market for.I am assuming that is your rifle.Anything negative to say about it.

Really, looking at the prices there is only a $70 difference between the two.If the SA M is significantly better might as well.

Hell,I have more money than that tied up in optics on ONE of my ARs..I'll be getting a nice, reliable rifle for under $600.Sounds like a bargain to me.

This may be another n00b question, but how are the brakes attached? And can the AK 74 style brakes be added or is that just not worth bothering with?
