I'd recommend you save a few more dollars and talk to Templar about making you a deal on a SA M-7 SF. Hell, if your that close to it you might as well go all the way ...

Guys, I'd be thrilled if I could get any more M7SF's, but they're gone. What's out there is out there.
You might take a look at picking up a SLR-95 and installing an ACE sidefolder. It's easier to do than on a M7 series rifle because to install a sidefolder on a milled receiver you can't have the lower tang installed. Or, pick up a SA-M7 Carbine and send it to someone to have the lower tang taken off and the ACE installed. Or......get a high quality stamped receiver rifle and you can slap a Romanian or East German wire side folder on with little muss or fuss. |

you could also have one custom built for you, the cost isn't bad and the builder I used garantee's his work.

No love, they wont open. Whats a NIB SLR95 worth, I can get my hand on one for 520. Sounds high. Also where to buy these east german/romanian side folder from. Vender? |

Check the EE,Robb Stottman has a good deal on East German sidefolders right now.

I think the $520 may be in line, maybe slightly high, Templar could tell you. You can't put an East German folder on a milled receiver, you'd have to what Templar said and remove the lower tang and put an Ace folder on it with an adaptor block for the milled receiver. Stock options are limited on milled receiver rifles ... |

Rather than deal with the joys of putting a folder on a fixed milled gun, get a Polish underfolder kit, sell off the under, buy a side, and have it built. Prob an ACE side folder since I like the Galil type cheek weld and length choices, an Armory 1mm rec, and Red Star Arms fcg. That's 5 US parts, then pick pistol grip or muzzle device for 6.
Since JNewt on your end of the country, shipping will be cheaper if you use him, never mind the good work... |
