I tried a Kobra many years ago and wasn't impressed.  I live in Arizona and even with a fresh battery at the highest setting, I could barely see it on a bright sunny day (which is nearly every day).

Is there anything out there worth buying or should I just get an ultimak setup?

Did you have the shade on the Kobra?

All the Dr. Optics type mini red dot sights are nice a bright and usable in all conditions.  I recently got a Burris fastfire and it's a great tiny little sight.  There is a guy here in the EE selling what looks to be an identical unit (though without the silkscreening) for a little over $100.

I had the shade on the Kobra and I was in the shade when shooting it...  When I say rail I mean the receiver mounted rail.

The Kobra was one of the first available in the US which used a special batter the size of a AA.  New batteries, didn't matter.

I'll be interested in a red dot soon as well since I paid extra for a fresh gun to be built at ORF with a rail...

Tantal

Period.

Hear me now, believe me later.

You have to email for the price list and email in your order.

But no worries, they are the ones that know the gear.

Thanks, I've ordered from Tantal before, it's been awhile though.
