Just wondered if there are any handguns that have particular appeal to devotees of the AK.

I always thought my CZ75B shared a lot of same "Old World" charm.

How 'bout you?

The Makarov is the standard sidearm for the AK, a close second would be the TT-33.

My Dark Pistols

CZ-52 compliments that AK so well

Polish Tokarev TT is a great AK companion

SP-01 Tactical w/ CZ factory 25 round mag

I also have a Para-Ordnance P-16 which I have converted to 10mm. Although it's a bright stainless steel pistol, nothing says Dark Side like a pistol with 17 rounds of full power 10mm!!!

+1 on the CZ-52. The nice thing is they are C&R pistols and dirt cheap, with both surplus and currently manufactured ammo.

The Bulgarian Makarovs are also very inexpensive. The East German ones are pricey but C&R so a little less hassle.

Had a Bulgarian (maybe Hungarian?) Tokarev, sold it

I have a CZ52, love it

Have a CZ75 (not B) love it too

they all went well with my commie guns when I had them (Tokarev rifle, sold for $200)

Nagants etc.

Closest thing to an AK I am allowed to own is a Valmet (like I can afford one) VZ58 (buying one as soon as I can) VZ52 (own one) VZ52/57 (sold when I needed cash, buying one again soon) and the ubiquitous SKS

AKs are banned by name and type up here

sent ya an IM with my Edmonton Number in case you ever want to hit the range. I don't own much right now in autoloading center fires, Just a Garand and browning auto 5 (VZ52 is unshootable, no ammunition to be had lately, and it is at a smiths for a little while yet, missing parts), but I have a mess of leverguns and boltguns that are shootable.

those VZ58s are too damned expensive for me to just run out and buy one, yet.
