Are the any good?

they have got to be converted saiga rifles so it would all depend on the quality of the conversion. the saiga .308 is a great rifle though, so the conversion has a lot of potential. i like mine but i cant seem to hit anything with it. not the guns fault, im just peep sight dependent now :)

Thanks, I am checking into who did the conversion now.

EAA did it. Anybody know about their quality?

Eaa or European American Armoury is the importer, not the converter. I believe that Hesse (Vulcan) Arms probably did the conversion. If you can eyeball the rifle you can probably tell the quality of it. I don't know of any serious issues with the 308 conversions, but with Hesse products there are some buyer beware issues.

I bought a Saiga .308 a few years back with the intention of getting it converted into an "evil" rifle. Money and time required that I move on so I sold the rifle to a friend of mine. Anyway, the gun was a great shooter and never had a malfunction in the 300-400 rounds I put through it.

I believe Krebs will convert these if you want a top quality job.

Thanks guys. The guy told me that EAA did it. The quality does not look that bad.

The pistol gripped one I looked at at a gunshow came from russia like that. I removed the rear cover and bolt carrier and bolt and there was no welds or any sign of welding up the rear holes where the sagia trigger is in the regular. Plus there is stampings where the holes are usualy at. Now the dealer told me that EAA had welded the 74 brake on. The reason he said they could import these is because there was no high cap mags made for these! If any body gets a chance take an up close look at one.

Is $350.00 a good price for these?

looks like a hesse job to me. cheap butt stock with the swivel on the bottom and cheap imitation break are the clue. the .308 saigas do not have relocated trigger parts. they have an extended trigger instead. so, they do not have the extra holes at the rear of the receiver. inspite of what anyone tells you EAA does not convert these rifles, nor do they import them with pistol grips.
