A quick and dirty way to clean the bores...I primarily do this after shooting corrosive ammo or when I first get a kit to check it out.

Hoppes sells something called a Boresnake. It's a pull through bore cleaner with bristles in the fabric. They come in different bore diameters and they're a quick and easy way to clean a barrel, but they don't replace a good sit down cleaning. |

Used at the range after shooting with some CLP, they make the sit down cleaning at home a breeze.
