Grade 1 Yugos have to be pretty rare soo I dont think the price is that far off. There is another vendor offering grade 1 @ $259. I guess it would depend on whos grading and by what standard..I'm a cheap fcke tho, I went with the grade 3 @ $69.95

so whats the differance between the 69.00 grade 3 kits and the 79.00 grade 3 kits? 20.00 hand pick? My 79.00 with hand pick, bent rear sight, can't unscrew muzzle brake! I should have gone with Centerfire.

ammunitionstore sucks!!!  horrible customer service.  i bought a polish kit from them and it was in horrible shape.  finally got a hold of them after several emails and calls and they told me i could exchange it, but i had to pay the shipping charges.  send me some beater kit that is advertised as 90%+  f ammunitionstore.

I ordered a kit from Ammunitionstore.  $79 kit and the $20 hand picked option.  Took 3 weeks to get it and I had to call them about 6 times.  After many BS excuses I received the kit and it is excellent.  The only thing wrong is a small carving on the fore stock.  I would be hesitant to order from them again.

I ordered a $69.95 grade 3 yesterday.Received the UPS tracking number today.I'm not vouching for nor  recommending them, just giving a heads ups.I figure for $69.95 if my kit is shyt I can always scrap it  and sell it off as parts.

I have never ordered any parts kits from them, but I have ordered a lot of ammo.  Fast shipping and always got what I ordered.  I have no complaints about ammunitionstore.

Yes, I did.The finish was worn as expected .After a good cleaning , the bore had some pitting but passed the bullet test .Grooves look good also. Kit was compete with all matching numbers .For the $84 shipped I paid, wasn't disappointed .However,The upper hand guard was split (in half)  so I called to see if I could get a replacement. They want me to return the entire kit and send me a replacement .As they are supposedly sending me a return shipping label and I like getting stuff in the mail I'll return it and play the kit lottery again. EDIT: I'm no professional but I would rate this kit as fair. If are looking for good-very good ...grade 3 will probably disappoint you.

be carefull of ammunitionstore.com.  I ordered 2 polish uf grade 1, and payed $20 more for "handpicked". they were a pretty worn grade 2 at best.  they are very optimistic with their "grades"   i'll never fall for "handpicked" gimmic again---don't you usually pick em with your hands anyway?

FWIW, last Friday I ordered a $109 Yugo stamped receiver, fixed stock kit from Pam at Centerfire.  My first AK kit ever.  These are advertised simply as "brown bore." Pam estimated the metal finish at 50-75% on most of these.  Received it here in Florida yesterday, and here's my observations:  Wood is very, very good - nice color and grain, and only a couple of very minor handling / storage marks.  Metal finish was on the high side of the stated range. Some parts still have a nice plum patina, only a couple of very, very minor and inconspicuous rust spots that will probably come off without much work.  The slant muzzle brake was the roughest piece on the gun, and I can live with it (or replace it.) ALL matching numbers - that was cool.  The range numbers on the flip up grenade sight are still painted white, and the night sights flip up and lock solidly and all 3 dots still have their paint (though have no glow left.) Bore was packed with crud, and I was a little bummed at first. However, several patches soaked in laquer thinner with hot water rinses later, I saw rifling.  (Chunks of cosmo and crud came out in the rinse.)  Used foaming bore cleaner and a brass brush, looked a little better.  Going to hit her again a couple times tonight, and I expect it will improve more.  Passes the bullet test.  I'm happy, and can't wait to get my DCI receiver and get to work.

about the same situation here.... I ordered yesterday and same ups shipped info, but no tracking number, I called them to order and yes agree that the cust svc sucks, the first girl I talked to didn't even know what I was asking to order then the guy I got was a real dick, cause did not fill out the BS form age statement, I did not buy a mag and I was not ordering ammo , why you want me to fill out age statement form ???? I asked ???, so I went online filled out and called right back, he was still a dick and had to type me in as I ordered anyways, I had to repeat stamped grade 3 kit to him 3 or 4 times, and made him repeat it back to me, I bet I get a milled, he was just that stupid.....wow dont do me any favors, thats what u do take orders, take my CC info and ship the damn thing to me....

They charged me almost $ 18 to ship that 9 lb package UPS, what a crock, they have the lowest price for the Yugo kits right now, but give it to you with the shipping, and that same guy gave me attitude, like shipping is not included, duuhhh, thanks for robbing me, I sent a bending jig across the country, @ 19 lbs and it only cost $ 15 UPS, and these people should have a discounted account, I just hope the rifle is decient cause their return policy is as wonderful as the cust svc.....I would be better off selling on th EE at a loss it if really bad.....

expecting the worst

Don't mean to gloat. Oh yes I do!

Place an order with Pam at CFS last Thursday and today I got two all matching #'s, unfired Yugo's $109 fixed stock and a $159 underfolder. The bolt faces don't even show a powder ring burn from primers. I'll see if I can wipe some cosmo off to get pictures.
