A militia man of the 10th Division takes an AK 47 riflegun from a weapon stock to hand it over during a ceremony in Kabul on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004. Over 981 militia men of 10th Division returned to civil life along with about 632 heavy and light weapons through the Disarmament Demobilization and Reintegration program (DDR), as Afghanistan is on the threshold of its first ever presidential election on Oct. 9.
