I just purchased one, Most of the reviews seem unfavorable but I'm hoping for the best.

To compare I have a lancaster stamped ak 47 which has been flawless.

How will this ak compare?

The only thing that bothers me is the rear screws. But blue locktite should fix that?

If that doesn't work can I send it to a gunsmith to install rivets?

take some pics of the screws you speak of so that we all may try to help you resolve your issue. If somthing is not going together correctly It may be a warranty issue!. Good luck I will await ing pics for the good and the badd that you speak of.

The rear trunnion screws. Sorry I'm really new to the ak world.

I don't actually have the rifle yet I just finished ordering it.

My understanding is it is not normal for milled receivers to have screws. And they could come loose causing problems.

I have an ATI milled ak 47 (they call it the AT47).  Hardly anyone thinks the gun is good because of the unique build and lack of lightning cuts.  That said, I really like my gun.  It has proved to be reliable over the last 7 months and has not suffered any issues owing to the build characteristics.  It looks great, shoots great and was priced right.  I think it will remain in my safe for years to come.   I hope that you enjoy yours - I would not seek the approval of AK enthusiasts on any board because they really don't think highly of the ATI milled Ak.

I have no bias if your ak is made by north koreans or any other company as long as the company stands by their work! So please don't fret to post your comments and any problems on this board there are jerks every where on the net ignore them. Back to what you were saying the best thing you can do first after you get your rifle. 1st take it apart and give it a once over clean and oil the barrel and function test it this is simple no ammo to be used for this!!!!! take top cover off then rack your bolt as if you were chambering a round turn your safety on and see if the hammer falls when pulled this is vital to ensure your saftey works! then turn the safety off ans pull trigger to see if the hammers falls. I do this to any gun I buy to make sure it is as ready as possible before live fire at a range!. Then go shoot the heck out of it shoot a few hundred rounds out through your ak and then come back if you have problems but either way let us know how she shoots accuracy, failure to fire FTF, failure to eject FTE, short stroking fires one round fails to chamber another. Most of these issues are easy fixes and your stock screw comment is only suspect until it is your problem. The guns that ATI has at least the ones I have held look good and I would not hesitate to own one if I was looking for another. Keep us up to date.

Will any gas tube fit on this rifle I want to put a quad rail ASAP. Usually the furniture is a pain in the ass to remove from the gas tube.

Anyone have a link where to buy cheap ak 47 gas tubes?

Also will any quad rail fit?

Well, usually milled receivers and stamped receivers use a different lower handguard.  These ATI frankenAK's are a big of a stamped and milled hybrid.. so its hard to say what railed handguard will fit it because the ATI "milled receiver" doesn't follow any AK standard.  I'd buy both milled and stamped receiver types and just return the one that doesn't fit.
