Should there be an AR15.COM SEAK III Project ???
anything but the M92. sorry they just don't do it for me. mmk
Yugo's have dark bore's
Krinks and RPK's would be to spendy So for me that leavs the Polish |
RPK74 would be cool but being that KVAR has gouged the price on their "recent finds" I wonder what the cost would be? Could it be done on a real RPK reciever? Gotta have bulges.
I voted for the M70 Yugo, although either Yugo would interest me.
My vote is for the M92, but if not that then the RPK would be my second choice. Regular M70's mostly all have dark bores anyway. My .02!
If the Polish kits are underfolders, I'm not personally interested.
How about a SEAK built up from from one of the Romanian kits that are coming in? A nice basic gun for a lower price, you know? Just throwing out some other ideas... Scott |
The Yugo M-70s that I'm chasing are brand new, never assembled.
The RPK-74 kits you can easily count on being over $1200. The Yugo M-92s are brand new. |
I'd want one on the condition that there were a NY legal version and it's gonna have to fire a caliber(7.62) that I can actually afford and find so that I can actually USE the rifle.
Yes, Yugo M-70 or Polish or M-92. In that order of preference. I'll take one anyway.
Quoted:
The RPK-74 kits you can easily count on being over $1200. .....Kit alone? A little above my budget. |
How much would a 7.62 RPK cost if its too much my vote is for polish.
Here' s what we have to do.
No matter what the SEAKIII ends up being, we have to call it a "Whatever Whatever...6920." It will drive the guys on the AR side out of their minds. WTF is a Colt 6920?? They talk about it over there like it is the "Holy Graile" of Ar-15's. Man im so glad i discovered this side of the board!! KyARGuy |
LOL, know what'ya mean.
"Colt is the ONLY brand all other's are garbage! blahblahblah" is all I hear over there. How about the "neverheardofit 6920"? |
is this an AR bashing thread or SEAK info thread???
I would like the m-92 or m-70 (if they are the unissued ones,if they exist) |
Wheres the bulgarian krink?
Wish i hadnt missed the boat on those. |
I hate Yugos! Their receivers have that thing going on near the front trunion and they have that ugly gas shutoff! And RPK's are nice, but don't belong as a SEAK. Go Polish.
7.62x39.mm . No SBR paperwork . Other than that I don't care .
Looks like some people feel that a third SEAK project is not required.
Um, only about 30%, and they don't have to buy. How could you NOT want to get in on the last batch of imported AK's? I would be in for whatever, but I would definately prefer a PMKMS. |
I agree, if we can get a head count... and finialize a design.... |

Probably the growing number of 15 year olds on the site. |

This thread may need to be locked and filed.
I don't see enough interest here in a Special Edition AK. KF |
I'd be very interested, I'm just not sure what to vote for. I think I would lean towards a Tantal with the correct reciever/safety switch.
That stinks. |
Guess we will wait and see what develops....
I'll give the poll some more time to determine what the majority feels they prefer for SEAK III |
POLISH!!!! ETA: I would love a M92 as well |
Where do we stand on this? I know things take time, but I am getting antzy for a new toy. Keep us posted with developments.
I would be interested in either an M92 or Polish Underfolder. Thanks
Ron |
If the Krink is reasonably priced, I'll take it, but the kits are double that of the Polish.
I think we need to start finializing this... someone needs to make an executive decision.
Yes we should have a SEAK III, but $1200 is way too much. Just because 30% of the people don't want one doesn't mean we shouldn't.
The $1200 estimate is for the RPK-74 kit alone. If we go with the RPK-74 as SEAK III, the complete weapon will be considerably more.
I'm thinking the M-92 or the M-70 may be the most cost effective way to go, and still utilize brand new kits to build from. |
I've been wanting an AK for ages, all I have is an SKS for now and I don't wanna buy a cheap wasr-10. I'd really like to seen an M-70 and would love to spend my money on the guys here. and get a good quality one.
Being Polish....LOL. I would prefer a POL type rifle. One request that I have. If ORF makes this SEAKIII please dont use the Blark finish. I didnt particularly like it. It started to turn orange on me. Parkerized under GUNKOTE would be sweet. |
