If you take what you have to the Lowes/Depot they have female bits to try screwing for dia and pitch to help you pick a new bit.
When in doubt, buy longer, spin a spare nut down, dremel off, oil, turn nut back off to re-shape the cut threads at the new end |

RS39..I hit home depot
 and hit pay dirt..I got an allen wrench head..similar to an AR screw in metrice size 6mm by 25mm long..a washer to fit and the grip is rock solid..just had to drill a hole behind the one where it goes on in an AR..looks damn good too...a home made or as I say ghetto way toi use what you have to fill a need..total cost $1.40 for the 2 screws and 4 washers.

+1 Mojo..my poor mans magpull.I have a molle strike 4 vest with 2 3 cell pouches that will hold in each pouch 3 M16 30s,3 AK 30s or 2 M14 20s.I put the mags in upside down and they are easier to pull out and already in the right posistion for a reload.It feels great in my hand,gives me the same feel as the AR but wider than the stock grip it had...and the best thing cost nearly nothing to do it.
with the gear now I can have 1 set up and use 3 diferent weapons.

damn i might just have to buy an ar grip to play with. that looks , well i just can't make up my mind how it looks

Hehehehehe..great analogy man.I have a deal going on for AR grips..should have em in about a week to 10 days.If you want to wait ill send you a grip,screrw and washer and Ill drill the hole in the grip for ya..LMK...Dave

No charge man I have an extra screw and washer and as soon as the grips come in Ill send a kit along.When you get a chance just send me your shipping info.Ill tell ya what though if we can get people interested maybe its a product we can sell..like having the grips done up with the hole already in the right spot,diferent colors...maybe we can get something going with this,ive never seen an AR grip available and its so prevalent and everywhere,the hardware is readily available..LMK...Dave
