I've seen this before, but it's awesome You can see clearly how the "tail" on the bolt carrier would prevent out of battery firing. The end of the bolt with the firing pin exposed would be unable to come in contact with the hammer if the bolt was unlocked.

You can also see why I think that the buffers that some guys swear by are relatively useless.

Yes, I do, I don't see the bolt carrier making much (if any) actual contact with the rear receiver. If any contact is made, it's certainly not enough to really hurt anything. Not like 7.62x39 really has much recoil anyway.

rent a copy of war lord with nichoalas cage ...crappy movie for the most part but early in the movie there is a slow motion shot of an ak firing.... cover on of course but pretty cool especially since they dubbed over the sound with the sound of a cash register...with ammo prices these days I guess it's appropriate

Lord of war is the movie. And, it's got tons of AK goodness in that movie.
