Russian Handguards

Iraqi Tabuk Muzzle Brake.

I used a piece of para cord for the rear mount until I can figure out a better method.

Tell me about your pistol. My Draco should be here Monday or Tuesday. I want to make it look like yours.

Does anyone own one in .223? I may pick one up but I can't find much info on the .223 ones.

I have a .223 I have been very happy with. Plan on short barreling it one day.

Two stage trigger, scope rail and rear sling adapter

How'd you do the rear sling adapter?

(Speak slowly as I'm not the most technically proficient gun-modder here!)

Thanks!

I built this one from a Romy G kit and a Tapco flat. Shortened barrel and gas system and threaded barrel 12x28 to use AR F/H's. Also added extended charging handle. All for about $150.00.

Just got the wood from Tim at Jadnil.  He's the AK Furniture man as far as I'm concerned.
It's a bit excessive for a lousy Draco AK pistol, but what the heck - it's epoxy coated, individually selected pieces, stained a new custom Russian Red (actually like real Russian Red - not as Red as now what's now universally accepted which is too red).
Bottom line = $150 (incl shipping).  Took less than 2 weeks.
I think it was worth it, because I didn't have to get my hands dirty, buy stains and clear coats, etc.
I'm very happy with it.

ETA - it's custom, like all his work - made to order based on your dreams.

You can see a couple other pics in the Draco Pistol thread.

A lot of people are using the pistol grip screw to mount a piece of paracord or nylon webbing material, and the replacing the grip. That way the piece of fabric/cord hangs from the back of the grip and a sling can be attached.
