I know he has "bought" respectability from the "other AK" website by his sponsorship. But, I remember the days when his name was worse than mud. Extremely poor custumer service, super slow shipping, extremely poor return+warrety on his products. I'm not even going to mention his Hesse crap. I would stay well clear of him.

I have seen a piece o' shit 74 that a friend of mine bought. He had more problems than I can think of with that piece of crap. Great looking rifle that would be a wall hanger queen.

I'm never going to find out as there are too many other sources to buy from.

The AK rifles that JoeKen sells are by Vulcan Arms.

Yes, Vulcan Arms is the same business as Hesse Arms.

With that bit of knowledge, I'd not buy one.

I've seen and heard far too much negative about Hesse/Vulcan AK's, and nothing positive.

I believe I heard Campybob say that the bare receivers were OK/good, though...
