Looks like Cope's has dropped the price of their "used" black bulgarian '74 mags to $9.99.  Thought those who missed out on the AIM deal would be interested.  Thanks.  http://www.copesdistributing.net/product_info.php?cPath=32_143&products_id=1964

Has anyone bought the 4 pack from Centerfire Systems? I am wondering about the condition of the magazines, whether new or like new or very used.

ETA: Ah hell, went ahead and ordered a 4 pack. Will report back as of the condition when they arrive.

I just got mine in.  They aren't as nice as the Cope's mags.  The Centerfire magazines look like they have the arsenal stampings filed off and the mags were re-painted black.  The only identifying mark on them is a big white sticker that says "Made in Bulgaria".  All in all, they are decent looking mags and I am happy with them.  But they aren't as nice as the Cope's!  I'll see if I can get some comparison pics for you guys...

Cope's on the Left, Centerfire on the Right.  The paint definitely snugs up the magazines in the rifle.

Strip the paint off of those Centerfire Systems mags and you should find sanitised Russian plum mags. These have been available from a few different sources. The Copes mag that you are showing is a real black Bulgarian mag, though Copes has the black painted Russian mags as well.

Yes, got mine today and looking inside the body/follower I can see that they are plum magazines.

Got my from Copes, all were in very nice shape. Two or so had a bit of rust on the baseplate that was it nothing to gripe about. Copes has been great. Easy to deal with fast service good prices.....I give them ten thumbs up

I got some painted "Bulgarian" magazines from TGI today, and they are pretty good.  They painted finish is a little bit too scratched up for me though.  Are they worth more as they sit, or stripped?  What works well to strip them?

There's a great product called "Citrisolve", takes the black paint off easily, no noxious fumes like regular solvents, doesn't appear to harm plastic either.
