Where are you getting an underfolder for 250?
I just got both. This week. I'm not kidding. I couldn't decide either so i got both. |

He's looking at parts kits. Thus the $250 underfolder.
If it's your first AK, I suggest buying a complete rifle. Just IMO. |

oh I shoulda read that. Why get a parts kit when banned rommys are 259 at jg and no bans 320 there. those are steals and great beaters.

AK74 dew to the fact that no one makes a proper 100% Yugo reciever ... im not into finishing a 80% reciever...

wait...that doesnt make sense...if i were to buy the AK47 underfolder, i'd get a 100% Dragunov (grrr) reciever, but if i were to get the '74, it'd be the 80% |

ah....well i think i might do the '74...but i just remembered i have to get the US parts which'll be $60 more...anyone know where to get a red US made pistol grip?

Of those 3, definitely the '74, there are plenty of builders who can do the work, there are ready support services for them, etc.
I own a preban Yugo underfolder, and while they are cool, there are no receivers ready to build on for these, and there will be several issues with parts and stuff. Yugo AK's are totally different animals than an AK-47, AKM, or AK-74.

Yugo parts kits are not in-hand and conditions reported on yet.
AMD65 is a safer bet now for a 47. Get the Bulgy 74, mint parts, mine is 2moa on 10 cent ammo, and my fave gun out of 14 calibers on hand. About $190 for fixed stock and $290 for the side folder. |

I am referring to you asking for the opinions from great AK minds here and them proceed to SLAP THEM IN THE FACE by saying that you are thinking about going with an M1 Garand or some other gun now instead (much like what you have done in your dozen other posts on the same topic) You just don't get it, do your own research and use your own head to determine what your needs are |

how is saying i MIGHT get an M1 (key word MIGHT. MIGHT = 50 50 chance) slapping people in the face? has ANYONE that has actually given me information griped about it? NO! how can you gripe about it when 1. i didnt even ask YOU and 2. you havent given me any info on AK's at all? P.S. how do you know i havent done my own research? I HAVE. i have spent countless hours searching for these things. i dont usually post stuff like this unless i cant find it on my own. |

$320....and those are old posts...now i am thinking about a '74 but im not sure. unlike you (apparently), i think carefully about how im gonna spend my money and i wanna find out what other people think and find out more about the rifle before i buy it. also this is my first "expensive" rifle and i want to buy the right one.
