I'm running an ACE skeleton stock, and my only option for getting a good cheek weld with optics (like a powered scope or ACOG) is to use their 1" riser.  For a $9 part, it seems like I could risk it, but people say that they are not very durable.  Thoughts?  Anyone running the ACE stock with cheek riser and getting good results?  Will it hold up over time?

I actually prefer the ACE stock, with internal block, over something like the Magpul CTR, because despite the fact that you have to permanently modify the gun, it gives you a lighter weight stock with less bulk.  The downside is the lack of riser options...

For $9 bucks what have you got to lose? (besides the obvious $9 bucks)  Give it a try and let us know how it goes, I've got a couple ACE stocks and was wondering too.

I have one and while I wouldn't call it durable necessarily i think it will last.

of course I have no idea what your intentions are with your rifle or how rough you plan on treating it. Its just polymer. I'd prefer a padded one like the SVD type, not sure it would work though

I'm not planning on putting it through a war zone or anything, but do you think that the plastic is durable, or will it crack if dropped, etc?  Maybe you could test it out for us?

I could definitely see it cracking
