FWIW. Brown Bear SP (by Barnaul) clocks 2390 out of my 16" Saiga and 2480 out of my 20" Saiga on a 90F day. The difference in sound is huge. 16" is an ear ringing boom. 20" is a loud crack. A friend who had been putting up a deer stand 1/4 mile away stopped by. He thought it sounded like I had been shooting a handgun and a rifle.

I dont know what the differance is But there's a differance . A friend of mine had a 20" (standard) SKS I had a Mini 30 . One day we sho a steel plate @100 yds . The SkS rds would punch thru and the mini would not close , but not quite .
