Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - 74 brake problems on SAR3

I threaded my SAR3 for a brake from DynaSystems. The threads look like they are the same depth all around. I did have to tap the brake another1/8 or so to get it against the FS. Now with the brake on it shoots 1foot to the right. Looking at the brake there is a light copper smear. I am thinking of drilling it to the next size drill [1/32]. Any other ideas. CB

my guess is that your bbl. threads are a tad crooked, thus the brake is interfering with the bullet's flight.

by all means, oversize the exit hole 1/32" and re-zero the rifle. even a perfet brake installation will move the impact point vs. point of aim.
