My reciever is stamped 7.62, but my kit is for 5.45? I already had to buy a new rear trunion cause the 74 holes didn't line up with my reciever. Please tell me I don't have to get another reciever or kit.

What receiver did you buy and were the holes pre-drilled or did you make a mistake when you drilled the rear trunnion holes?

which receiver did you get?
Ewbanks are marked 7.62 but the ejector is 5.45 size and must be trimmed down for 7.62

A 7.62 magwell will be too big for a 5.45 mag.

I built a 74 on a Tapco flat/receiver and the magwell worked fine. The reason it worked is because the Tapco flats require you to finish parts of them dimensionally. The ejector on some of the 100% receivers will work because it is made to 74 length and you have to shave it down for a 47 build. So it depends on whose receiver you are using I guess.

It's a vulcan and the holes where already drilled.

You're good to go. They are built to 74 specs and have to be fitted more for a 47. They are required to mark them with a caliber and more get built into 47's than 74's. Here's my AKS-74 built on a 7.62 marked Vulcan. No problems.

There is no such requirement.
I build my AKs from 80% flats, but I have bought several 100% AR receivers.
Under caliber, they are just stamped multi.

Built a bulgy 74 on a vulacn marked 7.62 Its a nice tight fit. Did need a little filing of the rails. Mag fits perfect.

The hole you're referring to is the #4 counting from the front to back. I had them welded on bothsides and redrilled it for the bulgy trunnion.

On a saiga conv. there are two holes left over above the PG. I filled these with plastics plugs that I found at Lowes in there fastenners section. Fit perfect and look just like a rivit. I don't know if this would work or be in the way of you drilling a new #4 hole.
