I, as others, are gathering up their kits and need tools,so we can build our AK's. I myself (and probably many others) Need 2 special jigs. One is for holding the front truinnon to a drill press table. This jig needs to hold the front truinnon so we can drill through the receiver, through the truinnon then through the back side of the receiver.
This way,we can have perfection when it comes to drilling the rivet holes.Line the a truinnon hole up with the drill bit, slide on the receiver, drill the hole....Whola !

We also need one for the rear truinnon so we can precisely drill the rear rivet holes too.

If anyone knows of such jigs,or someone who could make good jigs, let me (us) know of such person.

Am i making sense on what i am looking for?

What you want is sold at sears, harbor freight, home depot, lowes....Its a cross slide vise, designed to hold things to your drill press table

A guy that goes by the handle plinker who makes some of the best ak riveting tools just started selling the exact jigs your talking about. I purchased my ak tools from him and the quality and durabilty are great. Look him up, highly recomended.

Just get a 90 degree vise from sears...they have it for $45. It holds the end of the trunnion plumb to the drill press bit, then you just line it up with the hole (much easier with a cross slide table) slide the recevier over, drill, repet.

BuildyourownAK has 17 video's on You Tube. The MODERATORS ought to type in a link for that and put it in the sticky area. There are a couple of hours of helpful building information there and would answer just about anyones questions.

I wish this guy would take all 17 of those video's and put them ona DVD.I would buy one,,,and i bet alot of others would too.
