it works, it's just almost the exact diameter of the bore (the rod).  When you push the rod through the grooves in the bore try to rotate the cleaning rod.

Chamber brush??... on an AK??

I don't use them on an AR, let alone on an AK...

i dont know what it is with the 5.45  but my 7.62's go 1000's or rds and the chamber is shiney like new. the 5.45 on the other hand, gets dirty with powder residue quick

both are chrome lined

i ended up going with a  .40 cal synthetic brush. works nice.
