Looks really good so far! Are you going to refinish the furniture or leave as is? Doesn't look too bad the way it is.

its rit dye 6 parts red to 1 part orange
with some cherry stain under that

Sure looks like it was done with Iodine or Benodine. Stripped with chemical stripper sanded and iodine stained would be my guess

Looks good man! I have a set like it but Romanian and finished in the manner stated.

I never would have thought to use dye to color the wood. Thanks for the tip. I'm going to be refinishing the wood on one of my Romanian projects I'm starting on. I think this would be the way to go.

that's f***ing SWEET! Did you build it from a flat? If so wich bender did you use & flat? Looks pretty much factory!Love that red tint to the wood.

na its an oow
ive built from a flat in the past
and i added it up
even with a flat bending jig
it takes an extra 4 hours to do it right
with the price of the flat/rails its cheaper and easyer to goto work (even if you make min wage)
and just buy the rec
