When working with a flat I know I want to heat treat the hammer/trigger holes and the ejector.  What temperature do I want  before quenching?  Then what temperature do I want before slow cooling?

I plan on buying some Tempilaq to get this right.

Thanks,

Tom

I wish I knew exact temperatures to tell you, but I use the color method of heat treating.  I heat to a nice yellow, quench, then clean the heated spot and heat to a dull blue color and allow to cool naturally.
