I have been shooting a Para 1640 limited in USPSA LTD major since the beginning of the year. I am an amateur competitor with the typical family and bills that come along with it. I am finding it difficult paying for 1200-1500 rounds a month of 40S&W. I can afford it, but it is at my limit. I can’t do other shooting because of it.
I am thinking of selling the Para and get a new 9mm that is more affordable to shoot. I could save enough shooting 9mm at the current prices to save up to get a Dillon later. I am thinking of shooting Carry Optics. CO is all minor, so I would not have a handicap in scoring and I could still use 140mm mags.
I reload rifle, but don’t want to get a Dillon at this time.
Which from the list below, most likely with a Vortex Viper, would you suggest? I currently have a S&W M&P 9 pro from 2010 that I use in 3 gun with 15 mags.
My choices are
1.Canik TP9SFx 9mm, <$500, plus a red dot and a 2 more mags. <$800 total
2.S&W M&P M2.0 9mm 5”. <$500 plus red dot (& mount), upgrades and 5 mag extensions. <$1100 total
3.Walther Q5, <$850, plus a red dot, 2 more mags and 5 mag extensions. ~$1500 total
