USMC got to meet both these fine Great MARINES Charles Chuck Mawhinney Here is the man who is widely accepted as the great sniper in history. He was the head of the US Marine Corps during the span of the Vietnam War. It has been believed that Chuck had killed more than 200 enemies during the span of 16 months. There has been some criticism in naming this man as the greatest sniper in history. However, when it comes to precision, courage and shooting from a long distance in thick jungles and highly vague conditions, there is no other person that can match the achievements of Charles Chuck Mawhinney http://www.chuckmawhinney.com/images.html |

He was one of the instructors at The Basic School when I went through in 1979. He had a lot of health problems because of his burns, and he was not running on all eight cylinders mentally, either.
