Hey guys, I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for getting some pistol training in the NoVa area.
I am 20 and want to carry when I turn 21 but have no experience with pistols.
I took a class when I first got my rifle and found it very helpful and informative.
Primarily I want to build a good foundation and get my hands on different ccw favorites like the Glock 19, P226, M&P shield etc.
If you guys have any experience with some classes up here or private instructors please let me know!

I really like Silver Eagle Group as a range. I have not done any training there, but I would assume it is good judging by the quality of everything else there. They also have a really good rental policy. You pay something like $15 to rent for an hour and you can exchange the gun out as many times as you want in that time frame. Like most places you need to shoot their ammo in their guns.

The SEG owner has been known to donate to anti-gun politicians, ironically enough.

I took a class with them, thought it was well worth my time and money. Looking to do more with them in the near future.

I recently took a class with Ken Bloxton of Origin Shooting it was an excellent class.  And his basic pistol class is offered at sharpshooters for a reasonable price.

Tom Perroni at Commonwealth Criminal Justice Academy.  My sons and I took a number of courses there a few years ago.  His cadre is excellent.  Plus, he's an EMT and EMT instructor.  I hope he still does civvie courses.  He did a lot for big.gov, and that took up a lot of his time.
