"Dear CMP Western Games Competitors,

The 2021 Western CMP Games & CMP HP Rifle Matches have been cancelled. Please see the announcement below:

Due to the severely limited number of participants allowed at the Ben Avery facility imposed by the State of Arizona, it is not feasible to hold an event at the facility,” said Judy Legerski, CMP Board Chairman. In addition to allowing no ammunition or rifle sales, Arizona restrictions allows only 10 persons per building regardless of building size, and will allow no more than 50 people on the highpower rifle range (including range officers and staff) despite the outdoor venue.?
“We were looking forward to this successful annual event in its March location on the calendar, but these restrictions leave us no choice but to withdraw from the event,” she said. “We had planned a full slate of events in Arizona, including CMP Games rifle, EIC service rifle, multiple pistol matches, vintage sniper rifle, rimfire sporter rifle and a series of rifle and pistol training courses.”?

Competitors that pre-registered online and submitted their credit card information have not been charged. Competitors that sent in registration with payments with be refunded. Competitors that used their 2020 registration for the 2021 matches will be refunded.

We will be announcing the 2022 Western CMP Games & CMP HP Rifle Match dates very soon.

We would like to invite all Western Games Competitors to the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park for the Talladega Spring Classic that is being held this year ONLY as a replacement match for the cancelled Western CMP Games & CMP HP Rifle Matches. This event will consist of Rifle & Pistol Matches, including the new CMP Match Pistol 2700, 3X600 Mid-Range Match, 80 Shot Rifle Matches and Garand/Springfield/Vintage/Modern Military Matches. We are in the process of creating a new webpage for the Talladega Spring Class, which will be located under the Compete Tab on the CMP Website, that will include the schedule, program and online match registration.

Again, we are saddened that we are unable to hold the 2021 Western CMP Games & CMP HP Rifle Matches and we do hope that all of you will be able to join us in 2022. We also hope to see you in March at the Talladega Range for the Talladega Spring Classic.
