That's pretty impressive.
Again, very impressive. Longest I've done was out to 500 with irons on an AR, and I was able to hit a 1/2 size silhouette maybe half the time. I've got a lot of respect for guys that do highpower competitions and the like.
How large is the target, just so we can get a sense of what sort of spread we're looking at? |
Again, thanks. Both of the targets shown have 1 MOA X-rings, so the 200 yard x-ring is 2", and the 1000-yard X is 10".

MOA ALL DAY- 126 Arfcom rifles confirmed

How about a video? This is a 12" plate at 861 yards. Only 4 shots fired with the 260. All shots on the lower left quarter of the plate so maybe close to 1/2 moa? In the 2nd half of the video is mama shooting her ar15 in 223 rem. We usually load her 5 rounds at a time so I'm thinking we had 2 misses edited out of the beginning for the sake of video length. I would have to look at the logs to know for sure.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhQoH7IIzK4 I also recently shot the moa all day challenge. I was happy with the score I fired, but after I was done I had 9 rounds left so I went ahead and fired these 2 groups. First group is 5 shots and the damn flyer is the last round of the group. The second group is only 4 shots. I'm more proud of this one though. This is my wife shooting at the same 861 yard location again with her same ar15, but on a different day with some of the most brutal winds I think we've shot this far in with a 223. This time was with a 10" plate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20bhecqkYbE Here are our logs from that video so you get an accurate idea of what happened. At the time I could see the hits, but had no idea where at on the plate. That is why we didn't adjust elevation down to try and hit closer to center of the plate. We were trying to shoot during the let offs those gusts were brutal. I didn't have my 260 with us. We were collecting the initial data on her new barrel so this was the first time at distance with the new barrel as well. We were out the day before though to check zero at 100 yards and then tested at 200 yards and 410 yards. |

I don't have any pics of it but it was sub 1/2" MOA at 1000 meters with my del-ton M4 and some XM .223 55gr FMJ's and I shot it all day long.

What kind of camera setup(s) are you using to film all of that? We use a Canon power shot SX50HS for the high zoom videos. It's really a pretty cheap, but effective setup. We also use another even cheaper Canon camera when we don't need the high magnification. |
