Nice shooting. Can you post your rifle info and type of ammo? If reloaded, what that was? Would enjoy trying that with my savage 110 338 FCP. I shoot 285 ELD-M with 89.8 gr of H-1000 @2780 FPS.

From the OP it appears you guys were shooting both 338rums and LM's? if so on the rums, recutting the chamber to 338 edge(300 rum necked up to 338) would get you more powder/speed then  the 338LM .. Nice shooting...

A very simple mod...
Case length of the .338 RUM is 2.760” (70.1mm), being .090” (2.3mm) shorter than the 7mm, .300 and .375 Ultra Magnums which have a case length of 2.850” (72.4mm). This allowed Remington to keep within their preferred cartridge overall length of 3.600” (91.4mm), the M700 action having a magazine length of 3.660” (93mm).
