I saw something where they were considered lethal out to 300+ yards. Obviously a lot of drop to contend with but I imagine a good hit will get the job done

I think it really depends on shot placement. Here are some close in hog hunting videos with suppressed 22 lr. Hogs are as durable, perhaps more so, as coyotes. But can you get a coyote in this close?
Also, I was always taught on small calibers the concern should be focused on penetration not expansion. Good Luck
