Best deal going that I know of. Awesome warrenty, I have owned a few pst over the years. They are not the best but I doubt you find anything better for the price. |

You can gets PST gen 2 (not gen 1, cuz they suck)
Or Athlon Ares BTR. Both in your price range and are excellent scopes capable of shooting 1k yards. Call Doug at Cameraland in NY. He’ll take care of you. very knowledgeable guy as well so ask him anything to help you make a decision. |

Take a look at the Vortex Strike Eagle also for that price range.
Are you LE/Mil/Vet or First Responder? Can get some good deals in Vortex if you are. Also if you are buying a Vortex don’t call Doug. He doesn’t sell Vortex. Check with Sport Optics , Liberty Optics or Euro Optics. |

Thanks! That PST gen1 looks like it'll fit the bill, and I like how lightweight it is. Just want this for some plinking fun too.

Just want this for some plinking fun too. the gen 2 is better however with the current closeouts on gen1 i do not think the price difference is worth the gen2, odds are that if/when you break that gen1 and send it in they may send you a gen 2 replacement. that happened to me with a gen1 red dot. |

I would get the Strike Eagle all day long over the Gen 1 PST. The Strike Eagle is a much better optic. Might be a little more but it's well worth it. |

It's in the same area but something to be advised about is that Nikon has gotten out of the scope business so they say they will be there for support now but up to you if you want to go with them. Vortex and Athlon are the two in that area to look at. |

ended up getting a blem XTRII 4-20x. Will take it tomorrow to the range but so far really impressed. Thanks all for the advice

The XTRII is a great scope. You will be very happy. The XTRII punches well above its weight class and I think it’s a very underrated scope. |
