I am not sure the model I have but I have a Truglo 1-4 that has both .223 and .308 turrets and a throw arm that I love and it was dirt cheap.

Depends on intended use.  My main carbines have Viper PST 1-4x as a minimum.

I’ve been tempted very strongly to look into (buy) the ACSS series scopes from Primary....

It all depends on use, budget and how high falutin’ you want to feel.

They had a great scope on sale in the GLx line (Gold line....made in Phillipines) but is no longer on the site.  Not sure if it was only for Christmas or are tweaking it.  Plenty of options in the SLx line (bottom line and good value for what it is).  There is a 1-8 in the PLx (Platnium line) and it's a little pricey (around $1,300...but on sale for $1,100'ish) but it is Japanese glass/made and that is considered some of the top of the line.

Keep an eye out for the GLx line of scopes coming back.  Seem to be a GREAT value for the price point and quality.  Plus I'm really intrigued by the ACSS reticle

EuroOptic has a Zeiss 1-4x24 V4 for over half off. I doubt you will find a better value than that.

Leupold VX-Freedom 1.5-4x. $150-$180 direct from Leupold with mil pricing. I have had a couple, the glass is fantastic for the price.

I have a Primary arms 1-6 with the predator reticle, and really like it. Looking through it side by side with the vortex strike eagle, and the primary arms has better glass in my opinion...

I have a PA .22LR ACSS reticle scope.

I bought it for an integrally suppressed rifle that is so damn inaccurate, in just goo gto put a red dot on it. Damn near brand new... message me if you’re interested.

This.

For my 22s and such, I have used VX Freedom in  Aero Ultralight mounts with no complaints.

Look for the Leupold mark ar 1.5-4 fire dot SPR. They’re sub $400 downsides are 1 in tube and it’s not a true 1x but they’re daylight bright good glass and a good reticle. I would take it over any vortex offering.
