This is what I am using as well..have had great results with its..the 2200 is the same engine butt lacks the AB ballistics program and the weather station so it is cheaper iff you need a bare bones range finder only...

Terrapin X

I'm on my third range finder and the Terrapin X is the best of the three, hands down. I started with a Bushnell CONX and couldn't really get it to go past 1500 yards or so and that was hitting a building. Smaller targets were good to about maybe 1000. I then sold that and grabbed a Sig 2200. The Sig was good, but would not range a large steel target that was 1200 yards away. I did hit a large building at 1800. I finally picked up the Terrapin X and haven't looked back. I've been able to range cattle between 900-1100 yards with ease and the ranges came back faster than the other two RF's. I recently took it down to the river by me and ranged a buoy/channel marker (yellow marker where the water meets the shore line towards the top) at 3146 yards. Having it able to connect to the Kestrel is awesome too. Range the target and it immediately send it to the Kestrel and gives you a solution. This is the most impressive LRF i've ever handled.

For those using a vectronix:

I have a PLRF15C that doesn't seem to want to change unit of measure.  I change it to yards, and then double tap the function to lock it in, but it still displays "old c" and goes back to meters.  Any ideas?

Leupold RX 2800

Not a good glass as my brothers Leica, but ranges as well, has fast refresh for scan mode.

Still has the same weakness as the 1000 it replaced in that in facing strong sun, it can be hard to see the reticle.

The old Terrapin.

The ones I've gotten to like (not all of which I own but have used a good bit). In order with how far I've been able to get them to work and on what kind of targets in bright overhead sun. All numbers are rounded:
Vector 21 (>12km grassy hillside, >6km cows), old model terrapin (1500yrd <1moa steel targets & sandy hillside),  Kilo 2200 (1400 grassy field), Kilo 2000 (1200 grassy field), Leica 1200 (800 grassy field), Leupold 1000 (600 grassy field).

Kilo's are seriously impressive. The Vector 21 biniculars with 10x magnifier was other worldly in optical quality, capability and cost. Not all of the LRF's I've used have been equally tested. Mostly it was pretty ad-hoc. I'd show up to a match with this or that and after the match there's the eventual gathering of people with different stuff that coalesces and just like we gun guys are prone to do we promptly start, to use the vernacular, measuring dicks. When I brought out the Vector 21's that was a proper holy shiznit moment for us all. I wish I owned the Vector binos but a friend does so I still get to play with them occasionally.

Google earth and GPS coordinates. The real deal version.

No joke. Haven’t found a range finder yet edit: (I can afford) that’ll range the distances we shoot ELR.

Drop a pin, measure to point. It’ll give you slope too. Dope data has proven it’s very close...within a few yards.

How does that help you range a moose or an elk?

Are those really 2x2 mil beam divergence? Everything I see gives that number for the Vector IV's but for the 21's it's .4x.7 and for the 23's it's < .3x.3mil. I have the v21. Better glass than on any riflescope in the world.

I had a simmons, then a couple of sigs ( kilo1000 and kilo1600) and now I'm using a Vortex 1800,
The Simmons was actually for golf and it kind of sucked, it was very inconsistent. You could press the button three times in a row from exactly the same position and get three different readings.

The Sigs were actually worse, because I had two of them at the same time and they wouldn't agree when used one after the other on the same Target from the same distance. I actually have a 330 foot tape measure so I can precisely verify 100 yards.  Between the two cigs the smaller one fairly consistently underreported the range, but then the better one seem to consistently over report the range, in both cases by about 5 to 10%.  So I sold them and ended up with a vortex which I have been super super happy with. I've used it right next to a buddy's vortex and the measurements are consistent between the two of them. So far I have not been able to zap anything at farther than about 700 yards so I don't know what it's 1,000 yard plus performance could be, but overall I am satisfied with his performance.

STAY AWAY from anything Sig. Absolute AliExpress grade Chicom garbage. I have a nearly new Kilo2000 that has sat in the original box & packaging, used it exactly one time about a year or so ago and it's dead. Called Sig about it, more than 5 years past its manufacture date, no warranty. Fine, I can handle that, how can I get it repaired? No repair options, toss it in the trash. $500 for a product that didn't even last as long as the original battery did. I'm not alone in this & it's not just this one model. If you complain, the best they will offer is 20% off of full MSRP plus shipping & tax. Like I want to get fucked again? Buy something from Vortex, Leica or if you want cheap & disposable buy from Amazon or Ali.

PLRF 25C BLE III is also a great option.

SIG USA anything is garbage. My Vortexes have proven more accurate enough. Probably room for improvement, but it's not SIG.
