I want to throw my old Tasco World Class Plus 4x44 onto a Savage B22 FVSR and not sure what height rings to go with.

Using Butler Creek Caps, the OD of the objective is 57mm. I know there are formulas to figure out the height but my problem more or less comes from Im not sure where the measurement on the rings are being taken from. I was looking at using Leupold Rifleman Rings and things weren't adding up.

Obviously I want to mount as low to the barrel as possible but don't want to buy 3 pairs to figure out the right one.

Any suggestions?

I suggest Warne rings  or Talley
a low ring should work for a 42mm objective but when you are wanting lens caps I would go medium rings.

Ok. I have a 44mm objective so I guess medium it is. Thank you.
