I picked up a bunch of linked .50 cal shell casings at the local junk store. Most are LC stamped, but I got one loaded orange tip, one with remnants of green paint all over the bullet, and one plain. One had a fired round wedged in a empty case.

Stamps range in age from the '40's to '98'. Some are berdan primed with the primer removed, some are not, most still have fired primers in them.

What's weird is, many do not have the flash hole drilled! Aside from these, can they be reloaded? Can I convert the berdan-primed to boxer?

So, what do I have?

FWIW, I'm about 40 minutes from the Lake City plant. Thoughts and opinions appreciated.

Sounds like someone threw whatever brass he had, into links.  Doesn’t sound special
