I'm looking at the strike eagle and midas Tac 6x24 for a Bergara b14r. Between the 2 which one is best? Vortex appears best on paper but I've noticed many prefer the Midas Tac. Should I be looking at anything else at around this price range (Arken, Sightron, Bushnell, etc)? Thanks for any helpful info, suggestions, etc.

The Strike Eagle 5-25x56 works great on a rimfire rifle. Put it on a 40-50 moa base and you can dial out to past 500 yards. I have one on my Vudoo and have done that. Have run a tracking test to 20 mils and it tracked right on and it returns to zero. I have run it in a bunch of matches and it's never let me down.

Guys thank you for the info. I have never been a fan of the reticle in the super sniper scopes. Does anyone have info, experience, etc with the Arken scopes? The SH4 v2 is on 10 week backorder. I could deal with that. Feature wise it sounds great for the money.

Arken? Nope. I tried one and it would not focus clearly. Called Arken. No help. Sold it.

It’s best to email Arken, as everyone is extremely busy and they don’t have much yet in the way of personnel. Arken Optics (Gen2), are awesome optics, and you can’t beat them for the price range... period!!
The 4-16x50 would be optimum for use on a precision 22lr, or other Rimfire. Parallax focus down to 25 yards, but the clarity works well below that. DK |

FYI: You only need about 13.5 MIL for 300 yards with a 25 yard zero.
If you're going to run something with over 28 MIL of internal adjustment, you'll want a 30 MOA base at least. I would say 40 if you want to maximize available adjustment. Although, with a lower quality optic, the image quality may suffer when you're at the edge of the tube. I personally run a 60MOA base with a ZC527 (35 MIL internal) and with a 25 yard zero I have 31.3 MIL available. |

Have had my Venom for a few months. It’s a really nice optic sitting between the Diamondback Tactical and Strike Eagle but closer to Strike Eagle in only missing a couple features like locking turrets and illuminated reticle. It has less elevation than the Strike Eagle but still has 25 mils or 85 MOA.
